Dear friends, With the start of the New Year, it is a good time to take stock and reflect on the year that has past, where we are at, and what might be our aspirations for the year ahead. In particular now is a good time to review your practice over the past year and ask where you feel you want to take it from here. Some of you might be feeling the call to re-establish a practice that you have let slip a little. Wherever you are on your journey, we would like to help and encourage you as much as we can. Some of you may feel that you need time on the cushion to rest, nurture and nourish yourself so that you feel that you can attend to the things that you have going on in your daily life with more ease and from a place of greater balance. Others of you may find yourselves in a space where you are finding it challenging to attend to the demands of daily life and need practices that will help you find more peace, calm and stability, reducing the sense of overwhelm and anxiety, and helping you find more balance and rest. And some of you may be committed to the idea of self-cultivation and approach your practice from more of a yogic perspective, seeking to train and develop aspects of your mind, energy and character so that you can get more out of your lives, feeling you are ready to continue the journey of exploring your potential through developing practices that will open up your consciousness, make you more robust, and deepen your experience. We fully understand that with meditation there is no 'one size fits all'. and we want to help each of you find the right approach and practices that suit your needs. And with such a wide range of students that I am talking to, I would like to give you all the opportunity and support to take the time that is necessary for you to connect with where you feel you are at, and to give you the appropriate instructions that will bring the most benefit into your life. Connecting in Authenticity, Honouring our TruthThis new programme is a series of lessons and reflections, open to all of you regardless where you are at on your own personal path of meditation. This short course builds on the theme of Spiritual self-care and goes on to explore how you might identify your needs, priorities and aspirations, and to genuinely align with them so that the efforts you make in all areas of your spiritual life best serve you. The programme will open with a rerun of our "Spiritual Self-care weekend retreat" and develop from there. Of course if you have already attended this retreat there is no need for you to repeat it but you are welcome to should you wish. We will then go on to our six week programme entitled “Connecting in Authenticity, Honouring our Truth”. The programme is designed to be deeply nurturing and encouraging, as a process by which you might identify and connect more deeply to your own personal life journey. I will be offering this as an introduction to the rest of the work that I offer this year. Registration - £50 This registration fee allows you access to both the weekend retreat and the six week programme. Spiritual Self-Care Live Weekend Retreat - Day 1 - Saturday 10th January - 9.30am - 5.30pm Donations welcome at the end of the weekend Connecting in Authenticity, Honouring our Truth Six Week Programme Starts after the weekend retreat. All lessons will be announced via the registered email address. Donations welcome at the end of the programme
After this initial six week session, those of you that wish can then join the longer structured programmes offered this year depending upon what emerges from this work and what most aligns with you. Some of you may want to join the Internal Alchemy programme. Others of you may wish to follow one of the other longer courses I offer such as Love as the Path, or the Art of Concentration. And for others of you may feel you need to spend more time working on self-healing and self-care, and may move on and do your own practices, or may feel the need to follow the self-paced online programmes I offer on this. For all of you, I hope that using this period of time during the start of the year will be helpful and supportive of your own efforts to centre, align and orientate yourselves with authenticity to where you are personally at, enabling us to engage with the year ahead from a place of calm, feeling gathered and energetically organised, ready to move forward. with much love to you all Burgs |
