Dear friends, It's been a few weeks since we finished our Connecting in Authenticity course. Moving on from this, we are now about to launch our three part online healing programme which will run for the rest of the year. Having had a look at our approach and attitude towards our spiritual life and our life more generally, I think now is the time to explore in a little bit more detail, this whole notion of self-care and to take it as far as looking at how we can bring ourselves into a higher state of physical and mental health and wellbeing. And to look at how we can augment our state of health through the practice of meditation, breathwork, and movement practices . How can we bring about healing where we're not working optimally? Or where we're feeling perhaps a little bit under par? And what can we do to reverse the process of any disease or illness that we might be struggling with? Beyond this we will also start to explore how we can work constructively to enhance our health and cultivate higher levels of vitality and wellbeing So in a way, even though this programme essentially is looking at the healing mechanism itself, it's not something that should only be considered relevant for someone who is suffering with sickness. It's essentially a deeper look at how we can maintain our natural state of health and cultivate it further. Hopefully this is of interest to everyone, because ultimately, the condition and state of our wellbeing and health is the biggest driving factor behind our ability to find peace, happiness and pleasure in our life. We don't have much control over the world around us, but we do have, to a larger degree than we might think, control over how life expresses itself within us. It's an important perspective because we tend to look at it in terms of, when I get ill, what do I do about it? But here I want to explore the fundamental drivers behind the life faculty itself and how we can use them to maintain our optimal wellbeing. Life, as it expresses itself through us, is what health is. The quality of the way that life is expressing itself is our deepest sense of wellbeing. We have broken this down into three key areas, the first of which, healing meditation, is the subject of this first course. Later we will go on to explore healing breath-work and healing movement. Over the next three months, we are going to explore healing meditation and the healing process from three discrete angles. We're going to look at the notion of quantum healing, whereby creating a maximum state of coherence within ourselves, we bring about a higher state of overall holistic health through our entire system, where we don't attend to what's wrong, but we look at the parameters for health and wellbeing at a fundamental root level, and how we can align ourselves to the fundamental drivers of health. Then we will look, in more detail, at some of the systems in the body and how we can, through meditative practice, start to fine tune them so that they do work more effectively or more efficiently for us. Here we will be actively seeking to engage the healing process, as opposed to passively. And then in the final part of this module we will be looking again at Quantum healing, this time exploring the most direct route to health through connecting to the deepest innate intelligence that is life itself. If this inspires you I hope you will join this curated online programme. The first course will be hosted in 3 parts –28th/29th March 2026 – Initial Live Online Weekend Retreat. Two successive days of full experiential immersion into the healing experience, to give you the opportunity to clear off and let go what may initially appear to be hindering your wellbeing and health. Following on from the weekend intensive, throughout April and May there will be a series of lessons guiding you on a healing journey through the body 6th/7th June 2026 – Final Live Online Weekend Retreat. Here we will be returning to the principle of quantum healing seeking to deepen our connection to our own innate healing capacity. The suggested price of this course is £300. But in order to make it available to as many people as we can we are offering it on a registration plus donation basis. The initial Registration Fee is £100 and you will be invited to make a donation at the end of the course. It feels more appropriate to continue to offer this work in this way rather than charge a fixed fee for it, as it allows everyone to participate regardless of their means. So please feel free to give in accordance with that and whatever value you feel you have gained from the teachings.
Here's a short introductory video The main intentions for this course is to get across the profundity of these three approaches, and to arm you with tools by which to maintain your wellbeing. It is my hope that this will empower you to free yourself from the vexing attitude of constantly trying to micromanage your health in response to what you feel is wrong. Initially you will learn how to bring the systems of the body together and individually into a higher state of balance. And then how to connect to what we might even want to call the sacred intelligence of life itself as a healing practice. Ultimately we are hoping to gradually let our health and wellbeing become an ever growing expression of that principle. In a way, we could say that this work encapsulates the whole path and all of the Dharma, but with an eye on our spiritual wellbeing, as well as our physical and mental health. perhaps we might even ask ourselves, how could we embark upon the path out of suffering without having a really deep look at what it is that makes us sick and what we can do to avoid that or reverse it if we've fallen from our optimal state of health? So I really strongly encourage you to think about joining this course, there is much Dharma in it. In a way, I would say it's the real pith and heart essence of everything that I teach. From the very beginning, it's been the backbone of my approach to teaching meditation.
I look forward to the journey ahead with those of you who wish to join. with much love Burgs |
Dear friends, Next weekend we will move onwards with our journey of self-care by starting to look at the healing capacity of meditation. As many of you know, Healing Dharma has been the focus of all my teachings on retreats since I started. This curated course gathers together material given on various retreats over the years and relates them to the process of self-healing through meditation practice. The course will start and end with an intensive online retreat (28th/29th March & 6th/7th...
Dear friends, I have just released a new track today on Spotify called "Calling You Home". I wanted to release something to encourage people to reconnect to that deeper place inside of us at a time when it might feel that we are handing over some of our agency to technology by asking it to do things for us that perhaps we should be doing for ourselves. Our modern scientific vision of reality and our place within it, often tries to factor out the profound and formulative part that...
