The Energetics of Spiritual Self-Care - Online Weekend Retreat 28th/29th June 2025

Dear friends,

Last year I ran a new online retreat called “The Energetics Spiritual Self-care”. It is a theme that I have felt emerging with greater importance over the past few years and one that I feel has become fundamental to not just our spiritual path but our whole life more broadly.

During the course of this year, I could see that those coming to sit and learn meditation with me were all in need of these teachings, and so I wish to share them again, as I feel that they are so relevant to our spiritual progress and wellbeing.

Whether you are looking to reset and recalibrate in time for a busy summer ahead or whether you want to explore the important role that Spiritual self-care plays in our ongoing wellbeing at all levels, you might like to consider joining this retreat, regardless of whether you have previously sat this retreat or not.

Energetic self-care is fundamental to success in meditation and all of our spiritual practice. Perhaps even more importantly, the state of our subtle energetic makeup absolutely determines the quality of our experience in daily life. It’s all too easy to only see things such as stress, anxiety and insomnia as psychological problems. But a large part of these conditions are a reflection of the fact that we are poorly organised energetically.

This weekend retreat is designed to supplement your meditation practice, giving you the tools to regulate and self-manage the health of your subtle energy body.

We will take a look at the principles of managing our vital energy and how it reflects and affects the state of our sense of well being - physical, mental and emotional.

The weekend will be a balanced mix of powerful self-care practices and an in-depth exploration of some of the pervasive sabotaging programs and behaviours that undermine us and positive and empowering habits we can develop to remedy them. The practices and themes we will explore will include:

  • Opening up the breathing apparatus and diaphragm in preparation for breath work
  • Tuning into the subtle energy body and unblocking the chakras
  • Regulating the vagus nerve and the autonomic nervous system
  • Learning to reorganise ourselves skilfully from an incoherent / misorganised state to a coherent and harmonious state.
  • Exploring our decision making skills
  • Developing healthy self discipline as a path to refinement of character
  • Energetic self-care as the bedrock of higher spiritual practice
  • Now to positively navigate times of instability and major challenge
  • Establishing an appropriate mindset and attitude towards spiritual practice within the context of daily life

Day 1 - Saturday 28th June, 8.30am - 5.30pm (UK time)
Day 2 - Sunday 29th June, 8.30am - 5.30pm (UK time)

We will have regular breaks and 90mins for lunch.

Registration admin fee - £50
Teachings are offered on donation. The suggested donation is £100 pounds which can be offered after the weekend finishes. If you are unable to offer the suggested donation then of course you may give according to your means.

This is a live online retreat which can be followed by any, regardless of where you live and in what time zone. We suggest that those who live outside of Europe, follow in their own time zone. Videos will be left available for a few days to allow time to catch-up where needed.

This retreat can be used as a standalone module that will help prepare you for the summer holiday season, or help support your deeper meditation practice.

If you feel drawn to this work and to exploring the themes covered please feel free to register.

This retreat is open to everyone regardless of your previous experience with meditation. You may also like to invite friends and family members who you think might benefit, but please bare in mind is it deep work and can bring up challenging issues to process.

with love
