Autumn Retreats and New Spotify Music Track

Dear friends,

I thought would write personally to you this month with a brief update on what's been happening and what's coming up at AoM.

We have just finished our first Thangka Drawing and Devotional practices retreat in Portugal. It was a really special and unique event and something I will definitely be repeating next year as it gave me an opportunity to share teachings that I don't often have the chance to share. The combination of devotion, art and meditation proved to be a profoundly transformative experience for everyone who attended. We will publish some photos from the retreat on our website shortly.

Next up is our Foundations of Vipassana retreat in the UK from 26th September until the 2nd October. We have had a couple of cancelations recently so if you would like to join last minute please contact us directly by emailing us as these places are not showing as available on our website.

Then in October we will return to Portugal for a three month long deep research period into the whole field of meditation and neurological reset, healing and enhancement.

This is a field that has fascinated me for many years now and it is the first time that I have been able to introduce you to some of the work I have been doing in this field. I have made a podcast discussing the work I am currently engaged in which will be uploaded this week on Patreon and next month on the usual Podcast platforms.

Our program between October and Christmas in Portugal will focus very much on this whole field.

Firstly we have our week long annual 'Reset Retreat' from 11th - 18th October.

If you are interested in joining this please email us directly as there are very few places available.

Following on from that we are running our 10 day Neuro Reset Programme which will lead directly into a research period where we will be exploring the role of neurological healing modalities in enhancing and augmenting meditation practice and experience.

We are inviting a small group of committed practitioners to come and join in during this period as part of our research. If this calls you and you would like to be considered for this please email us at raj@theartofmeditation.org with a brief introduction and explanation of your background and experience with meditation.

For those of you who are unable to join our retreats or who prefer to learn from home, our year long online 'Art of Concentration' programme enters session three next week. The first module of this will explore 4 elements meditation and how to use 4 elements as the doorway to kasina meditation and Jhana practice. Registration for this is opening shortly and you will have receive an invitation to join if you have already followed session 1 and/or session 2.

Finally I have just reactivated our Spotify channel and released a track on there that I did a couple of years ago with famous DJ James Monro.

If you enjoy listening to my talks set to music please check it out. It would be amazing also if you feel to add it to your playlists on Spotify and share with your friends. This and the upcoming tracks we have lined up in the coming weeks and months are all designed to motivate and inspire anyone regardless of whether they meditate or practice Dharma, so please help us to spread the word.

Thank you everyone for being a part of our community.

Sending you all much love

Dear friends, I am sorry that I haven't been in contact with you all more over recent weeks. We have been very busy getting our new retreat space set up. But we are now up and running and I have have a little more time.
