Invitation of becoming a founding member of Brahma Vihara

Dear friends. I hope this email finds you well. I know I haven't seen some of you for a while. I am writing to you to announce the opening of 'Brahma Vihara', our beautiful and magical new retreat centre in North Portugal. It has been my aspiration for many years to one day be able to offer a dedicated "Seat of Dharma" that could become the centrepoint of the work we do at AoM to give people an authentic opportunity to immerse themselves in Dharma practice and study. I would dearly like to make the facilities available at 'Brahma Vihara' somewhere that anyone with a genuine aspiration to practice Dharma and meditation can benefit from. To help make that a reality I am offering the opportunity for a community of our close friends to become 'Founding members', by helping me to fund the set up and basic running costs of Brahma Vihara. As you know the gift of Dharma is the highest of gifts, and so I believe some of you will see this as an amazing opportunity to make it possible for people to come and learn and practice Dharma for many years to come. Just imagine the merits you would accumulate if your gift provided the space where others came to realise the path and free themselves from suffering. So the idea behind becoming a founding member, is that your contributions will help subsidise the basic operating costs for the place so that we can offer it on donation only basis to others as much as possible. I myself will continue to uphold my commitment to teach on donation of course, but how wonderful if we can also offer space on retreat on this basis. I know that if you are receiving this email you already fully understand the ethos and spirit with which this is sent. We are a small team on the ground and it has been tremendous work to get this amazing space initiated and launched. Our 6 week winter retreat was a truly magical experience and the energy at Brahma Vihara, I believe, is absolutely ideal for genuine and deep Dharma practice. I would love to tell you all about it in more detail in the very near future. At this stage I am simply reaching out to you to share the news. If you feel inspired to be a part of this project in some way, please email me, and even at this stage if you have your own ideas about how you feel you might like to support, I would love to hear them.
